Staff & Volunteers

Piers Young is Centre Manager, Ann Hawker is Service Manager, Simon Phillips is Facilities Manager, Val Hook and Barney Taylor are Support Workers, and Cromwell Arday is Bridge 'Anchorman'. The Catering Manager post is shared between Hazel Page and Dave Wade. Jeanette Graham is fundraiser, Rob Halligan and Carole Rust are Administrators, Sharon Bates does Financial Admin. Most posts are part time.

There is a pool of 65 volunteers including 6 team leaders who are able to deputise for staff to varying degrees. One third of volunteers are female, one quarter are under 36.

Induction & Supervision

All volunteers fill in an application form, we interview them, take up references and give relevant training. There is an induction training package and volunteer handbook. Each volunteer is assigned another volunteer who gives regular support.

The Council of Reference have attended functions or been kept informed by periodic letters and personal contact. The Trustees and Management Committee have met regularly and monitored and driven progress with various subcommittees in action too.
